For today’s recipe, I decided to pull from some of the recipes we have received from Soul in a Bowl and A Place at the Table. Here’s the one I chose for today!
Fried Chicken

Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup flour
OilWash the chicken. Season as desired with salt and pepper. Coat the chicken in flour. Pour about 1 ½ inch deep of oil into a pot and heat on the stove. Place chicken in the pot and fry until brown and floating at the top.
Over my Winter Break, I decided to cook fried chicken for the first time. It was super easy and very delicious!!! I would recommend this recipe to anyone who is looking for a quick dinner recipe, since it goes together with a lot of different sides. If anyone decides to try it out, I’d love to see how it turns out!
