Northside community has long been sustained by four pillars: school, church, home and business.  The Northside Business Network is organized on the principle that the fortunes of community and the local economy are inextricably linked.  Neighbors recall a time when commercial services were an essential part of the community—and business owners and residents were all “regulars” to each other.  The aim of the NBN is to recognize the historic role of businesses in the Midway District and to renew ties among local businesses and between businesses and residents.

The Northside Business Network builds on existing connections and interests of small businesses, many of whose owners live in the Northside Conservation District.  Whether residents or not, we are proud to call all of the participants in the NBN members of Northside community.
