Technology is an essential part of daily life, but navigating the digital world can be overwhelming. Whether it’s learning how to safely browse the internet, organizing digital
photos, or understanding cloud storage, many people—especially older adults—find themselves struggling to keep up. That’s where the Community Workshop Series (CWS) comes in.
CWS is a free digital literacy program offered in partnership with local public libraries and the UNC School of Information and Library Science. Their goal is simple: digital literacy
for all. These workshops provide hands-on guidance to help participants build confidence in using computers, smartphones, and the internet. Best of all, they’re completely free and open to the public.
A Community Resource for All
Access to technology is more than just convenience—it’s a necessity for staying informed, connected, and engaged in today’s world. Whether you’re new to computers or just want to brush up on your skills, CWS is here to help. Don’t let a lack of digital skills hold you back. Take advantage of these free workshops and help spread the word to others who might benefit!
