Offered to K-12 classrooms throughout Orange County and college campuses, our Learning Across Generations educational curriculum consists of two main pillars: The Civil Rights in Chapel Hill workshop and the Arts and Methods of Oral History workshop. While the former is a narrative retelling of what happened here during the Public Accommodations Movement in the 1960’s, the latter incorporates the stories of our community elders into educational work.
Community Mentor Team
Serving as the foundation for our youth and education work, our Community Mentor Team is composed of a group of dedicated neighbors who are committed to expanding the educational opportunities of our students. While the stories and neighborhood experiences of our Mentors have shaped our Learning Across Generations curriculum, the physical presence of our mentors have created an indescribable impact on the learning experience for students.
