
Kari Hill is a rising senior at UNC-Chapel Hill, pursuing an undergraduate degree in African, African American, and Diaspora Studies. Her passion for stories and the African diaspora has lead her to conduct oral history projects in Durham, North Carolina, and Salvador, Brazil. She is drawn to the history, legacy, and community of the Northside and Pine Knolls neighborhoods and initially joined the Jackson Center as a summer fellow. Her work includes enhancing digital platforms of the Jackson Center Oral History Trust as well as processing and maintaining the Oral History Trust’s content. She enjoys meeting Northside neighbors, participating in the arts, and being in nature.
