Hira Javed is currently twenty years old and a rising senior at UNC-Chapel Hill. She was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, and moved to Chapel Hill after graduating from Rocky River High School. She has two older sisters, who are also her best friends. Hira has a passion for restoring the humanity in human rights and recently studied human rights abroad in Nepal, Jordan, and Chile. She also enjoys organizational planning and has goals to find a career with a balance of the two. In her everyday life, she enjoys cooking and driving and spending time with her loved ones. (If nothing else mattered, she would be a race car driver) She has joined The Jackson Center team as a Summer Fellow and is looking forward to learning more about her community throughout her summer journey.
