Brittany was raised in Greensboro, NC by her amazing grandmother. Brittany graduated from Elon University in ’12 with a degree in Human Services and Sociology and began working in the local community. She seen the issues families were having with the systems meant to help and protect them in addition to the disparities in the Black community as it related to treatment and policies. Subsequently, she decided to go back to school to further her education and make a difference on a larger scale. Brittany entered the UNC school of social work for her Master’s degree in 2015.  Brittany hopes to go into policy work, fighting to dismantle policies that continue to negatively affect the Black community and build community centers in minority neighborhoods that will serve as a one-stop shop for the community members and the uplifting of Black youth.

Brittany is a dedicated church leader, mommy (to the worlds cutest 4 y.o. boy), and  wife who enjoys spending as much time with her family as possible- traveling, cooking, eating, and making life long memories.
